‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Expected To Bring In $195 Million For Its Opening in The U.S.

‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Expected To Bring In $195 Million For Its Opening in The U.S.

Marvel Studio and Disney’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is set to bring in a healthy $195 million for its opening weekend in the U.S.

Although the figure is formidable, it is slightly lower compared to the figure of $207.4 which was pulled in by “The Avengers” for its opening weekend in 2012.

Saturday’s total figures of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” appeared to be around the range of $57 million to $60 million, slightly below what analysts had expected therefore dashing any chance of “Ultron” matching the record which was set by “Avengers”.

The strong numbers, $84.6 million, which were posted by “Avengers: Age of Ultron” in its opening day, Friday, led to many believing that it will be able to surpass the record which was set by “Avengers”, unfortunately those hopes were dashed on Saturday after the numbers for the day were released.

Many believe that “Avengers: Age of Ultron” did not post positive numbers on Saturday given that many people had opted to go watch the big fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.

For Sunday’s earnings, many believe that “Avengers: Age of Ultron” will bring in between $50 million to $53 million. If that happens then the film will fall short of the $200 million mark which was expected, it’s good to note that it will be well above the opening weekend earnings of Marvel’s Iron Man 3 which brought in $174.1 million for its opening weekend.
